Final Comments on 2015 Season

It has been another great season of Railroader Baseball in Fulton.  Many thrills and chills throughout the 40 game regular season and the post season playoffs.  The entire team this year contained some of the best players we've seen, especially at the plate. A team .280 batting average was the highest recorded in any year, edging out 2012’s .279 average.  Most noteworthy was the long ball, 38% of the total league homeruns, 28 of 74, came off the Railroaders bats. In the field and on the mound also contributed to an excellent season.

New friendships have been made between players, parents and fans. We wish all players the best success in their future endeavors in school and career.

Now is the time and here is place for your comments on the 2015 Season. Thanks to everyone who join us at the Yard or on TeamLine in supporting  the Railroaders.

  1. With a son (Justin) playing for the Railroaders this summer, I attended about 10 games and listened via Teamline to another 20. I was very impressed with the overall quality of play in the OVL. I'm not sure Fulton and the surrounding communities in western KY and northwest TN understand the gem they have in the Railroaders and the OVL. Fulton won 60% of games played which is solid by any measure, at any level of baseball. Equally impressive was the organization/management of the team, both inside and outside the dugout. Best of luck to the Railroaders in future years and thank you for providing my son a good experience.

  2. Another great season of baseball for the Fulton Railroaders. Each of you young men on the team should be very proud of way you played with your skills, your sportsmanship and your hearts and it was awesome to see you grow together as a team. As a fan it was so fun listening to the games and cheering you on from Oregon. I don't personally know Clay Reece and Lucas Eliason from the Tacoma Titans but you both played a great season and I hope you two had as much fun this year as my Titan nephew did last year. Both of you gentlemen have a safe trip home. It was always a pleasure listening to the on air broadcast from the Yard. Thank you John, Josh, Ted (how's that wasp sting?), Jayce, and the rest of the crew for making the games so fun to listen to. I hope to visit Lohaus Field one day to see a game and sample every bit of food in the Yard. Again congrats Roaders for a great season. I wish you each success in your future endeavors and safe travels back to your homes. May you always keep your love of baseball. Roll Train!!!!!!!

  3. Just wanted to say thanks to the entire Railroader's organization for a great experience for our son #9 Kyle (KJ) Estand. His summer was filled with some great memories. We had the privilege of spending the 4th. of July week following the team live. Although the weather was not cooperative on many days, we had a great time. The fireworks display was outstanding. I became addicted to the BBQ Pulled Pork Nachos. I appreciated the hospitality shown on our visit. Good luck to the Railroaders and all future players.
