Have we got the Blues?

With a quarter way into the season, it’s hard not to feel down with 4-8 record placing us in 5th place and 7 games behind the leading Hoptown Hoppers. But all it not lost. There is still a lot of baseball left to play, however, we need to start turning this train around and win some games. Tonight is a good time to start as the Stallions are returning to the Yard.

Both teams tonight are struggling. Although the Railroaders have faced and won against the Stallions twice, on paper the Stallions are somewhat better in the stats. Fulton’s team batting average is .207 with MC a little better with .220. The Stallions team pitching ERA is at 5.04 while the Railroaders have a 7.36 ERA.

The Stallions are at the bottom in standings with 1-11 record and have lost their last 10 games. It won’t be easy to take them down again this time. So what and who is it going to be? The Railroaders must start to pick up their game and play some baseball that we know they’re capable of.  Warm up time is over, let’s get this engine on the right track and moving in the correct directions.

Game time is 7:00 p.m. If you’re in area come on out to game, if not, see you on TeamLine. Let’s Fire it UP!!!

Hey guys, does someone keep a gun on the pitchers? Curious as to how hard Ty is throwing.

  4. Ty normally hits 83-85. Maybe tops out out at 86-87 when he feels good in an 0-2 waste pitch

  8. Would someone in the know please keep us loyal fans informed when players have left the team or if they are not playing because of injury. Our defense was atrocious last night at positions that we have good players that were not in the game. Twice in the past week we have had pitchers pitch shutouts through 6 innings (leading 5-0 in both games) only to have the defense ( including relief pitchers) blow the game. First time in the years that I have been following the Railroaders that much of the time we do not have a competitive team on the field.

  9. Normally at the College level it is an error when a foul pop up is dropped; sorry pitcher! Another dropped pop-up last night illustrated how non-competitive we were. The Railroader RF drops an easy pop-up about 50 feet from first base. The Stallions hitter was almost in the dugout but no attempt was made to get him out at first; sorry pitcher! No player on the field or any one in the dugout seemed to even notice; complete silence.

  10. PJ, I won't disagree with your comments. There seems to be no fire on field or in the dugout. We're at a loss of words in the press box as to why, except there appears to be no leadership among the lot. In regards to injuries, Colton Aldridge is the only player I'm aware of unable to play.
