More Hoppers happening tonight

Four games left!  Two games each with the Hoppers and Miners, starting tonight at the Yard with Hoptown returning again for the Railroaders to try and beat the bunnies down a little.  Eight times the Railroaders have had to mix it up with Hoptown, and only once has Fulton controlled them enough to get a win.  The Hoppers are 1 ½ games in front of the Railroaders and in the second seed spot.  We must face off with them tonight and Sunday to complete the season series.  Besides Fulton, Hoptown has one other game to play against the fourth place Bombers who have their own desires of over taking the Railroaders only 2 games ahead them.

The solution and plan is simple; finish out the final four games with victories and the Railroaders take the second seed in the standings regardless the outcome between the Bombers and Hoppers.  That means Fulton must take out the Hoppers tonight and Sunday at home, then beat the Miners on Monday in Fulton and in Madisonville on Tuesday.

Tall order?  I don’t think so.  If the Railroaders can get and maintain focus on the game, Fulton has a great chance to advance into second place to finish the regular season.  We’ll need all hands out to the Yard tonight, Sunday and Monday to help get it done.  Let’s get the boiler pressure up even higher and get it done!

Why did you remove the comment from last night about the lack of playing time for ALL players? The parents of the other players are concerned about this and you decide to censor the comments. Are you afraid of the truth? We parents have spent a lot of money sending our kids to your team only to have no playing time! Why? As far as I am concerned, we were fraudulently induced to sign up for your team--promises were made, money was sent over state lines, and then the team failed to live up to its contractual obligations. Deal with this issue soon!!! As a group, we have significant damages and we will involve the NJCAA, NCAA and if necessary file complaints with the state attorneys general from each state we represent! Please address this issue NOW and stop deleting our comments!

    1. As a Roader fan I have seen all the kids play, of course pitchers are a different breed as far as when they hit the line up , please be more specific , The team coaching staff determines who plays when.

    2. I don't believe this blog is the appropriate forum to raise issues like the above. As the person above me commented I have also seen all the young men play except for the pitchers which makes sense to me. I am also curious as to why Concerned Parent did not bring this issue up until almost the end of the season. It seems this whole situation should be taken up with the Railroaders owners and management team, whose contact information is clearly printed on the Railroaders home page, and not by complaining on this blog.

    3. Please understand this is not little league any longer. These young man are college athletes who have come together from across the country to build memories that they will never forget. Most of these athletes will not make it to the next level and this is as close as they will get to being a MLB player. Think of the experience and friendships they have built during this summer and don't ruin it for your son.

  2. First let say I am not in control nor have influence over player relations and playing time, and I am not an owner of the Railroaders. It seems to me this is an issue that's blessed resolved between the disgruntled parties involved, and not here on the blog. I must say though if such a thing exist, then why not bring your identity to the light of day?

Removal of blog comments are at the request of the Railroader ownership and honored by this blog. Further discussion on this subject here will result in future moderation and/or requirement for users to register; which is something I do control. Understand?

My experience is the barbeque is better than the rib-eye. And the cheeseburgers are great! The food is all good!

  13. I'm so hoping the RR's win but win or not can we please have a train whistle in honor of Mr. Reed Johnson's last game with the Railroaders? I certainly think he deserves it :)
