UPDATE: Due to the bawl last night in Dubois County, the Hoppers do not have enough players to play the Railroaders. Fifteen Hopper players were rejected and suspended for the next scheduled game by OVL rule. That game was the Railroaders tonight. A forfeit win for Fulton will be recorded by the close of other OVL action tonight.
The Railroaders have it in they own hand now to take second place. Fulton finds itself wedged between the angry Hoppers and Bombers, the three teams only separated by 1 ½ games in the middle of the standings. With three Railroader games left, Fulton must win tonight over the Hoppers and take one of the two games remaining with the Miners in order to secure a second seen for Post Season Play.

Although the outcome of last night’s game in Dubois is
under investigation and review by the OVL, the Railroaders still can ensure a
second place standing by winning all three of their games left. Bottom line here is “Just win Baby” and take
it.
Tonight’s Hoppers game and Monday’s with the Miners are the final
two home games for Fulton in the regular season. At this point Fulton will see at least one home post season game, when
and who are still to be determined. Monday’s
game is also Fan Appreciation Night with give-a-aways and more fun. Don’t miss tonight or Monday at the Yard,
the Railroaders need your support.
Fire up it and let’s get the train a rollin’
Well its Monday now and a freebie win from the forfeit last night. Tonight the Miners are in town with the Railroaders needing only a win to take secure place in the standings. Only the Miners and Railroaders have games remaining in the OVL. Two games agianst each other, here tonight and in Madisonville tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteShould be a great contest between these two teams. Its also Fan Appreciation Night here at the Yard, so we'll be busy in the press box too! Final home regular season game tonight. We'll match up with the Hoppers first in the Post Season Playoffs, the question remains whether it's here in Fulton on Thursday or Friday. High seed gets the games 2 and 3 (if nessessary) at home.
Almost time for the Railroader to get started here, let's take the needed victory tonight!
The Benners are listening from Indiana. Cheering for a Railroader victory!
ReplyDeleteThe Lees are listening from Chicago. Let Roll!
ReplyDeleteHey John and Ted it's a balmy 79 degrees and overcast here, a good night to listen to a baseball game. I was so disappointed to hear of the the brawl and I hope no one was seriously injured. This incident reflects badly not only on the teams involved but the entire OVL. I am sure the Railroaders would have rather faced the Hoppers on the field and beat them fair and square instead of facing these issues. That being said Mr Reed Johnson made it home safely and I'm still cheering for the remaining Tacoma crew, Mr. Spring, Mr. Main, and Mr. Vernia. Railroaders let's shake this off and keep your heads in the game! #RollTrain
ReplyDeleteListening here in Medina Ohio. Good luck Railroaders! Parents of Tyler Nichols #21
ReplyDeleteWelcome back Josh! I have a question for all of you, will you be announcing any playoff games being played in The Yard? I hope so, I've been enjoying listening to you all. :)
ReplyDeleteDetroit Michigan listening (Cole's family) Go Railroaders! You are awesome!
ReplyDeletethought this was wet cement
DeleteWe were good until you asked!! Then we lost you. Currently no video or sound.
ReplyDeleteYou're back!
ReplyDeleteWhat happen to the Dubois County Bombers & Hopkinsville Hoppers game how was it scored? Video streaming fine.
ReplyDeleteJohn I think I am even more confused than you are about this whole forfeit, not forfeit situation. How will letting the Hoppers play if the Railroaders don't win both games with the Miners be fair? It seems to me that the Hoppers who by their own actions couldn't field enough players for a game then it should be a forfeit. Just shaking my head and it still doesn't make sense, it's just making me dizzy.
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteThanks fellas, I just had a yogurt LOL
ReplyDeleteGo Roaders! Listening at home isn't the same, but I will take it! Keep the train rolling!
ReplyDeleteHey Reed! Where are you? My granddaughter proudly wore your auctioned jersey to the game and you were gone. We miss you and hope you are okay!

ReplyDeleteto wet cement Cole pitched a great 9th
ReplyDeleteHey great Idea because of the stupid decision of the OVL officials, next time a game is tied between 2 teams how bout they just get in a big brawl even if its theatrics. the league will just call it a tie and nothing is lost ,
