No more shock treatment, please!

Those Hounds came back and bit us good on Tuesday. I still can’t understand how we allowed them such a wild time at the Yard. It just goes to show you that you can’t turn your backs on those dogs cause they’ll get you every time. There’s no game in this league you can except to win without maintaining your focus and poise. Well, we split the 2 game series with Union City and we’ll face them again 8 more times before the season is over. Let’s be better next time and tie them up tight so they can’t run the bases. And one more thing, 16 men left on base is not going to get it done.

Wednesday’s a day off for us to lick our wounds and with the Marion Bobcats coming to town on Thursday for 3 games over 3 nights, let’s get ready to do some damage on them. We’re tied with them in 3rd and 4 games back of the lead. The Firebirds finally beat the Bobcats, their first win of the season, on Tuesday. Congrats and thanks to the Birds for helping us maintain our position. We’re going to have to come up with more victories this home stand to keep pace with the Oilers who have now won 8 straight games leading the league and 4 games ahead of us. Let’s get this engine fired up and keep the pressure up for every opponent we face!

  1. well i hate to see the score like that, especially when we are on the losing end. We need to find the motivation from last year and get that train rolling again. 6-6 come on guys. I think that I should maybe come out of retirement and help win some games. I really do believe that hoghead is ready. Well I will be in town after the 23rd so if you need me just tell hoghead to get a hold of me. Because I am back.

  2. What was the record last year after the first 12 games?

  3. As a matter of fact . . we were 6-6 last year after 12 games. There are a lot games let for sure, 38 to be exact. Even the Firebirds can turn around at this point, so it's long from being over. We have the talent . . let's get out guts together and just do it.

  4. Is Farmington folding? That's the word...... and no website. Do they have someone who takes care of things, or just a coach?

  5. There has been no League info on Farmington folding. Their game tonight has been put off due to scheduling conflicts at their field. The game for Friday is a go and a doubleheader scheduled for Saturday. So I think they're still planning on being around for the season. They have also gotten a few new players and with their win over the Bobcats I think things are turning around for them. As for the website, I'd heard they were in the process of getting something up and running, but who knows. It's appears its just not a priority for them, and yes the coach is overworked.

  6. still i feel coach e is leaving some in too long. against uc on tuesday pitcher was throwing bp top the hounds. if cant do better than that then all he needs to do is bp.outfilders, come on, you got a righty batting and you think hes going to hit to right with such slow pitching....use your head, uc put 5 balls in left center...get on your horse and ride boys!!
