  1. I don't think a couple of you on the Blog attend baseball games outside of Fulton if you think Fulton fans are tough. Do you attend a KIT game at Union City? Have you heard their fan/s? Have you ever been to a Division I College game or a MLB game... I have attended hundreds of baseball games and believe me the fans at Fulton are pretty much consistent with fans across the southeast. Most fans give the umpires a hard time. The umpires are well paid for a short evening of work. I was not at the game but umpires cannot let a player jepordize the safety of another. They should be in control of the game and their own emotions. Fair, consistent, mature umpires set the tone and are compensated to do so.

  2. I believe after tonight, the Tradewater Pirates showed the worst act of class any team as ever put on....

  4. How bout them Railroaders last night, it was a slow game not many hits manufactured during the game but some good defense out there"glovin it up"to hold them Pirates to 3 runs ,then in the bottom of the ninth,my how sweet it is when your guys get that walk off win, nice stroke Hunter! and with Cory on the bag it was enough to win the game! Now for those who think us true railroader fans only stick by these guys when they win are nutzzz,we scream Roll Train win or loose, and we have some great fans, but as with anything you get a few bad apples. Remember we only have 2 reg home games left, lets turn out thick and support OUR TEAM. These 2 will be all inportant toward our seeding and the way we hit the playoffs, them kitties arnt easy to be tamed these days. Us Railroader fans want this team to know they are a great bunch of guy and gettin lowd and prowd is the least we can do. Come on to the Yard hang out and enjoy some great baseball.

  5. hoghead, do you think its possible to turn down the volume. we are not deaf. in such a small place its hard to talk when the music is so loud and during the introduction of players the pa need not to yell or turn up the volume. we have several older fans that have complained almost every night. i hope this does not deter them from making plans for the 09 season.it nice to have the pa and music but be aware of the volume. we do like to communicate to or next seat fan without yelling. PLEASE,PLEASE...........

  6. I came to the game last night, was in the area traveling to Memphis Friday. I was impressed with the team play by both teams, but not impressed with the sound levels, the repetitive sound bytes or the comments of the home fans, sometimes very derogative towards your visitors. I've been part of Memphis baseball in the past, and part of summer baseball for a good while. You have a good product, but please don't overdo the negatives. There are too many at your games. And, the razzing of the umps, well, it was a bit too much, especially the one sound byte used when not in agreement with a ball/strike call. Don't treat visiting fans or players with contempt. This is the feeling I receive. I hope you will take this constructively folks. Good luck on the season.

  7. well, after the game, 2 players and one coach was constantly yelling off the top of their lungs at the umps with numerous profane words. Yes, I believe some of those pitches to Cory M. were strikes, but the ump didn't call them and then the next batter hits a walk off home run. The pitcher doesn't even shake the Railroaders hands after the game either. Maybe I'm too old fashion, but I believe that was just very disrespectful to the game.

  8. While Hoghead doesn't control the volume, I'm sure he'll pass the word along to those that are. Thank you for your comments, we do want to improve, and thanks for your support of Railroader baseball!
