Doubleheader with the Oilers at the Yard

We obviously need more spirit to help us get back on track (if we were ever on track), and I though perhaps my sister, Marlene, might help in the cheering section. She has certainly helped us in past and we sure need all we can get now!

Today is a big doubleheader day at the Yard with Oilers coming to town. Third place Owensboro loss last night to the Hoppers and will want to recover their footing against Fulton today.

The Railroaders have dropped 4 straight games now, so they are way overdue for a win. We’ll be looking once more for the boys to pick up their game, something they have struggle with over the last few days. What we need here is some leadership and of course some “Spirit” from the dugout to the field.

If first, second, third or fourth you don’t succeed, try, try, try again!

  1. Here's a list of injured and/or questionable players for today's games. Catlett, J. Elliott, Aldridge (out), Beach, Shumaker, and M. Elliott. One new player signed on, Ryann Gray RHP, SO Baton Rouge Community College. Paris Creek is gone for the season.

    1. Thanks so much for the update. When you don,t have many dominating players that injury list verifies the challenge presented Jake and coaches. Great to see Jacob Elliott back on the field. His glove makes all the infielders better which in turn makes the pitchers better. Hope Tyler is soon okayed by his Dentist. Also, thanks for the picture of your Sister, that profile is typical of our season; unfortunately most games have looked like her face.

    2. Defensive Indifference is a play in the later stages of a game in which the defensive team, either ahead or behind by a large amount allows a player to advance a base without any attempt to put the runner out. The play may be ruled, by the official scorer, defensive indifference
