1 win away until new champs

Everyone needs to congratulate the Tradewater Pirates on their regular season title. They are the outright champs for the 2008 season. Now the battle for 2nd is on, a 3 way race. The Pirates have wrapped it up but can spoil Fultons chances for 2nd in the league. We gotta get out there and kick some butt.

  1. Marion can be spoilers too, they aren't that bad. They have a good coach, and some talent.

  3. Yes we have got to get super FIRED UP.... and get that 2 seed.4 more reg. season games at the yard and we need to take them. I was able to attend the all star game and let me tell you, the KIT league could have easily won that game,it was very close and as you can see by the stats the KIT out hit those guys,The talent in the KIT is just as good(I think better) as the C.I.C.L- we just had a couple bad breaks to hold us back .The 2 leagues seemed to be pretty evenly matched last night. Yall come on out to the yard this week and cheer these guys on!!!

  5. We probably have a good chance tonight against the Pirates. They threw like their number 6 and a outfielder against Marion, and looks like from their box they are playing some guys out of position this week. Their minds are on the playoffs, not us.

  6. I agree with ya Fuller, the Pirates are where they want to be, and the playoffs are the goal. Why put your best on the mound or the field, if you don't need to. It's gonna be good for us if they throw off and rest some guys. That's smart basebal, if you can do that.

  7. I'm more worried about the Bobcats. They want to hurt some people this year, to prove they are real. I see the Pirates winning it all in post-season, because they have so much pitching, you don't see most of it. UC can be tough, and Owensboro, maybe, but they don't travel everyone. I can't figure them out. We can be up there, but I'm not sure of our depth.

  8. I heard two of the Pirates have left being drafted, Long ? and I think the other pitcher, maybe publeese (?). That would hurt them quite a bit.....some Orioles scout at the all star game gave em contract.

  9. Our Pitching is going to be the death of us, We are not deep enough and have lost a couple to injury, When our throwers are on ,it is sweet, but when they get beat up it gets ugly quick, and without the depth you are stuck having to leave them in. So lets hope for lots of sweetness in the next 4 days as well as FIRED UP bats and no errors. :)

  10. We have the talent, but we have been so inconsistent. Hey where is Cory White? Is he with us?

  11. I thought he went to the minors?

  12. White is still around I think. I'm not sure about that Pirate signing comment.....but I did hear someone from the Orioles was looking at guys last week, maybe this week too

  13. Cory White is still around. Hurt himself during practice with his school's pitching coach last week, but should be okay by this weekend.

  14. I dont think White will be back, huge loss for us

  15. Tonight our team was embarrassing and the coaches, too. They are too emotional, it was horrible they way we act at times. Can't we just be good losers? Congrats to Tradewater. Heck, I almost wanted to root for UC tonight, they we act,.....bad

  16. maybe if you heard some of the umpire's comments you wouldn't think we were so bush. in one at bat, the ump said "these fans are a bunch of fu*#@ng pus*#*s, and they can all kiss my a**." so maybe you should know what you're talking about before you write something.

  17. Too emotional? Are you kidding me Mike. No player or coach did anything towards the umpire during the entire game and if you knew what the hell you were talking about maybe you would know that the umpire was provoking the players all game and that after the game the coach was sticking up for the players because of the the umpires continuing comments. Any good coach sticks up for his players. I suppose the team should have sat there and laughed when the pirates little roid baby tried to run over Bayko. Why don't you get a clue before you run your mouth again, and do us all a favor if you are so emarrassed and stay out of the yard so we don't have to read your bullshit comments.

  18. I'll stick by my comments, because we ARE embarrassing. No wonder the umps said that. We don't respect anything at times. Sorry for being right.

  19. I have to agree with Fuller, the Railroaders deserved what they got last night. Low class at times, and what can you expect when all night the umps hear trash from players, coaches and fans.

  20. Would you guys be trashing the coach and the team if the Railroaders would have won? No way, you would have been yelling 'Roll Train'. You need to support your team in good and bad. I get sick of fair-weather fans and that is exactly what you sound like. Get a uniform on if you think you can do a better job.
